Fri, 21 Nov 2008 13:55:38 PST-Tired of playing to less-than-capacity crowds in the Big East's smallest stadium, coach Brian Kelly bluntly challenged the Cincinnati Football Bearcats' fan base to grow a little bit for the league's biggest game. If the 19th-ranked Bearcats beat No. 20 Pittsburgh at 35,000-seat Nippert Stadium on Saturday, they'll become the odds-on favorite for their first Big East championship.
Thu, 20 Nov 2008 17:19:05 PST-If Pittsburgh's Top 25 game at Cincinnati Football is tight in the fourth quarter Saturday night, both teams know what will happen when the Panthers have the ball. The same thing that happened in last year's Panthers-Bearcats game. The Pitt-Notre Dame game earlier this month. The Pitt vs. then-No. 2 West Virginia game last season.

Tue, 18 Nov 2008 22:33:03 PST- Cincinnati Football coach Brian Kelly jokingly said he was trying to set a record this season by using five different quarterbacks. It certainly wasn't by choice.
When Demetrius Jones, a transfer from Notre Dame, took his first snap in a UC uniform Friday night at Louisville, he became the fifth quarterback to play for the Bearcats. The merry-go-round behind center hasn't knocked the Bearcats off course in their bid for a Big East title and BCS bid.
No. 19 Cincinnati Football hosts No. 20 Pittsburgh Saturday at Nippert Stadium, in a game that could decide the Big East championship. Some, including Kelly, argue it's the biggest game ever played at UC.
Friday night's victory at Louisville was highlighted by the return of senior quarterback Dustin Grutza, who hadn't played since Sept.

Sat, 22 Nov 2008 14:33:37 GMT-1. No. 2 Texas Tech (10-0) will play at No. 5 Oklahoma (9-1) tonight in what is the biggest game in Red Raiders history. It is also a chance for Texas Tech to shut up the skeptics once and for all.
Sat, 22 Nov 2008 14:33:36 GMT-Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall when Andrew Taglianetti slaps his hand down on the family dinner table and shows off his Big East Conference championship ring? Sure, a lot still must go Pitt's way for that to happen. The Panthers need to win at Cincinnati Football tonight, beat West Virginia at home Friday and probably win at Connecticut Dec. 6. But if that all shakes out, you had better believe Taglianetti will put that prized ring in his father's face.

"I think it is the biggest game in school history," Kelly said. "There's no question about that.
